Rodney Rempt, Superintendent of the U.S. Naval Academy, cheers with Midshipman Fourth Class Philip Johnson following the Herndon Monument climb held at the U.S. Naval Academy. As part of their rite of passage, "Plebes" must scale the monument to remove a dixie-cup cover from the top and replace it with a Midshipman combination cover.
