Grass and bushfires continued to rage in southern Queensland on October 12, 2004. This image from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on the Aqua satellite shows fires (marked in red) burning in numerous locations in the southern and eastern portions of the territory.
