Onslow Bay, N.C. (Jun. 9, 2004) - Seaman Kedric Young relays a message to a life raft coxswain during a Search and Rescue drill aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). Kearsarge is surged deployed to transport elements of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit Air Combat Element to the Central Command Area of Responsibility in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and the Global War on Terrorism.
